History

Deutsche Vilomix Tierernährung GmbH was founded during the late 1960s as a division of Lohmann Tierernährung in Cuxhaven, Germany. The name VILOMIX is an abbreviation for "Vitamin Lohmann Mix“.

In 1972 Deutsche Vilomix became an independent company and in 1974 its company headquarters were relocated to Neuenkirchen-Oldenburg, i.e. the centre of German livestock production. The corporate concept of the newly established company was to support mixed feed producers located near farms and to act as an expert partner in questions of animal nutrition and mixed-feed manufacturing and to act as a supplier for individual, complete batch premixes. The goal that still captures the centre of our attention today is:

 

         "Innovative feed concepts for the highest possible profitability...“

 

The company continues to develop. Since 1992, Wübbenhorst Tierernährung GmbH in Oldenburg has belonged to the company group. Since1993, the former company Cimbria in Hessisch Oldendorf has belonged to the company as a second production location.

Today we are one of the leading premix and mineral feed producers on the German market. Our customer base consists mainly of mixed feed manufacturers and rural dealers throughout the Federal Republic. Products are increasingly exported to European and non-European countries.
